Alabama Lakewide Charities: Our Mission and Fundraising Efforts

Alabama Lakewide Charities was established with the goal of acquiring, maintaining, and training first responders on cutting-edge search and recovery equipment that remains on Smith Lake for emergency drowning incidents. In addition, we aim to support other non-profits in the Lewis Smith Lake area that share our mission.

Donations are generously provided by individuals and businesses from diverse backgrounds who care deeply about Smith Lake and its community.

Annual Fundraising Events

Our two largest annual fundraisers are the Poor Man Poker Run and Spook the Lake. Help us continue these enjoyable events! Community members eagerly anticipate these gatherings each year, as they not only foster fun but also boost the local economy.
