Spook the Lake has transformed into an immensely popular on-water event and a cherished fall tradition at Smith Lake. It draws hundreds back to the area to bolster our lake’s economy during the off-season while supporting the mission of Alabama Lakewide Charities (ALC)!
Usually held annually on the second Saturday of October, this year because of inclement weather, we have had to move it to Oct 17, 2026. This ALC event unites residents and visitors of the Smith Lake area for a delightful experience of trick-or-treating by boat at volunteer-hosted docks throughout the lake. It’s truly a unique celebration!
