Poor Man Poker Run

The Poor Man Poker Run is one of our annual on-water fundraising events at Lewis Smith Lake where players go to designated boat docks around the lake to collect poker cards. A full poker hand (min 5 cards) is played against other participants and prizes are awarded at the after-party. Currently, this is Alabama Lakewide Charities’ largest annual fundraiser in support of our Mission.

This year’s poker run is dedicated to the memory of Braxton Beasley who tragically lost his life recently in the waters of Smith Lake. Braxton is the son of Phillip Beasley of HydroHoist of Alabama, our title partner of this years event. A special Braxton Beasley Memorial Fund has been set up if you would like to make a donation. Funds are currently unassigned but will be announced soon once the family has determined how they would like to memorialize their son. #BraxtonBlue
