Voting in the 2024 Spook the Lake Dock and Costume Contest
Well, the entries are in, and it’s time to unleash the voting frenzy! Cast your votes for the spooktacular costumes and docks from this year’s Spook the Lake bash. It’s as easy as pumpkin pie and open to everyone!
This beloved community shindig is all about fun for all ages while also giving a spooky boost to Alabama Lakewide Charities, with the proceeds funding search and recovery efforts. Let the voting begin! 🎃👻
- STEP 1 – ENTER THE CONTEST
– Entries start on WEDNESDAY, October 16, 2024 at 2:00pm
– Entries end on SATURDAY, October 19, 2024 at 11:59pm - STEP 2 – VOTE
– Voting begins on MONDAY, October 21, 2024 at 12:00 (noon)
– Voting ends on THURSDAY, October 24, 2024 at 11:59 pm. - WINNERS/RESULTS ANNOUNCED
Winners will be announced on SUNDAY, October 27 at 12:00 (noon) on this website as well as shared on Facebook. Make sure you follow us at facebook.com/spookthelake.

- BEST INDIVIDUAL COSTUME
- BEST GROUP COSTUMES (formerly BEST BOAT)
- BEST PET COSTUME
FOR HOST DOCKS:
- BEST DOCK WALKER COUNTY
- BEST DOCK CULLMAN COUNTY
- BEST DOCK WINSTON COUNTY
Contest Participation Guidelines
Entry is exclusively available to those who attended this year’s Spook the Lake event. Each submission MUST include a photo along with a description. We will gather and post all entries as swiftly as possible for public voting. Remember, only one vote per category is permitted per email address. Winners will be awarded a WINNER PLAQUE, featuring a space for you to add a photo.

Unfortunately, we must address this:
In the past, some individuals have attempted to cast fraudulent votes. Please be aware that we are vigilant about such activities, and we know how they occur. Any attempt to undermine our fair voting process will result in automatic disqualification of your entries and all associated votes. Additionally, any extra votes from the same email address will be rendered void.
